easyJet Unveils New Flights from London to The Amalfi Coast

easyJet has this week unveiled new flights to be launched between London Gatwick and Salerno in the Amalfi Coast.

This will be the first commercial services from the UK to the Italian destination.

London to the Amalfi Coast: A Look at These New Services…

The new flights between London & The Amalfi Coast with easyJet are set to begin on July 13.

Operating on a twice-weekly basis, Salerno Airport is opening up to commercial traffic for the first time.

Furthermore, such a destination represents the 157th in the entire network for the airline.

It is understood also that services into The Amalfi Coast will also run from Milan, Berlin, Basel & Geneva.

Ali Gayward, easyJet Country Manager for the UK had this to say on the new route:

“We are delighted to announce the launch of two new routes from the UK today as we continue to strengthen our network and offer even more choice for our customers across the UK.

“We are particularly excited to welcome a new destination to our network, with a unique connection from the UK to Salerno’s Amalfi coast airport serving one of the most iconic, scenic parts of Italy from London Gatwick.”

Services Between Newcastle & Amsterdam to be Relaunched…

On top of the new flights between London & The Amalfi Coast, easyJet have also announced more.

From September 5, they will be relaunching services between Newcastle and Amsterdam.

Such services will operate on a year-round basis, running on Thursdays and Sundays.

Gayward had this to say on the return of this popular route:

“We’re also adding more great value connectivity for customers in the North of England with a service from Newcastle to Amsterdam, which we know will prove popular with those looking for a city break or travelling for business, and we look forward to welcoming more customers onboard.”

Any opportunity that can be taken, it appears that easyJet is wanting to take advantage of that.

Preparing for a Busy Summer 2024…

Furthermore, the Summer 2024 season is expected to be just as busy as last year, if not more.

Airlines like easyJet are always looking for gaps to expose in the market.

This is why we are seeing new flights between London and The Amalfi Coast appear.

Services resumptions such as Newcastle-Amsterdam is another example of where the airline is thriving.

All eyes will be on how easyJet’s Summer 2024 season will perform, as well as what new additions get announced in due course.
