Delta Air Lines Celebrates 90 Years of Montreal Flights

Delta Air Lines has this week celebrated 90 years of flights to Montreal in Canada, outlining their coverage in the area.

The carrier has the destination served well from the plethora of bases it has in the United States.

Delta & Montreal: Nine Decades of Flights…

Delta Air Lines this week celebrated 90 years of flights to Montreal.

The airline currently serves the Canadian airport 13 times per week from the following airports:

  • Atlanta
  • Detroit
  • Minneapolis
  • New York LaGuardia
  • New York JFK

Delta Air Lines also noted that passengers from South America can enjoy connections to Montreal via ATL and JFK, which is an interesting perspective.

Commenting on the 90 years of flights was Joe Esposito, Delta’s Senior Vice President of Network Planning:

“Delta’s service to Canada dates back to the mid-1930s, proudly connecting the U.S. and Canada through vital gateways, fostering economic and cultural ties between our nations”.

“As we continue to grow and innovate, we remain committed to strengthening this special relationship and creating new opportunities for generations to come.”

As well as celebrating 90 years of flights in Montreal, Delta Air Lines has this month celebrated other milestones.

  • Montego Bay – Celebrated 65 years of flights.
    • The airline currently operates 26 weekly flights from Atlanta, and is complemented by flights from New York, Minneapolis (Seasonal) and Detroit (Seasonal).
  • Bermuda – Celebrated 55 years of flights.
    • Seven weekly flights on offer from Atlanta (Three weekly) and New York (Four weekly).
  • St. Lucia – Celebrated 20 years of flights.
    • Currently on offer is daily flights from Delta’s hub in Atlanta.

Commenting on the milestones was Luciano Macagno, Delta’s Managing Director for Latin America, the Caribbean, and South Florida:

“Delta is making history in Latin America and the Caribbean, solidifying our presence and connecting our customers to their dream destinations”.

“From points throughout the world to these iconic island destinations, we’re forging vital connections and making it seamless for our customers to reach their ideal vacation spots.”
