Azim university placements: 120 social firms line up to hire freshers from Azim Premji University

More than 120 leading social sector and research companies are participating in the ongoing campus placements at Azim Premji University, and 55% of the registered students from the graduating batches have got offers from 35 firms in the first week of placement.

Participating companies include the Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy, PRADAN, Reliance Foundation, Bihar Rural Livelihoods Promotion Society (JEEViKA), Shantilal Muttha Foundation, Mantra4Change, ShikshaLokam, Pebble Creek Schools, Central Square Foundation, Jai Vakeel Foundation and Research Centre, Peepul India, Leadership For Equity, and TNS India Foundation, the institute said in a release.

The placement process will be completed in April, it said.

Since its inception in Bengaluru in 2010, close to 4,000 students have graduated from Azim Premji University. “In line with the core social purpose of the university, nearly 90% of them are working in the social sector across 500 districts of the country in rural and urban locations, contributing to the development of the country in meaningful ways,” the release said.

The institute opened a campus in Bhopal in 2023 and a third campus is coming up in Ranchi, it said.
