A Transavia scheduled flight operating from Rotterdam to Faro, Portugal has declared an emergency en route. The flight is currently diverting to Asturias Airport, Spain.
Transavia flight HV6093, a Boeing 737-700 operating from Rotterdam (RTM) to Faro Airport (FAO), declared an emergency with squawk code 7700, and has elected to divert to nearby Spain.

The flight declared an emergency as it passed French airspace in the cruise, and initiated a descent and diversion to nearby Asturias Airport (OVD), Spain. The nature of the emergency is not yet known.

Having made for Asturias Airport, flight HV6093 is maintaining the emergency transponder code 7700. The flight is temporarily out of tracking range and we will advise updates as soon as they are available.
Flight data for this morning’s HV6093 service from Rotterdam shows that the flight made an actual time of departure from RTM at 07:24 local time, off a scheduled departure time of 07:00 local.
The flight then set course normally; climbing to cruising level FL390 (39,000 feet) for the southerly route to Faro, Portugal.
